The Central Water Authority, a parastatal body operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities is the sole undertaker for the supply of water for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes throughout Mauritius and wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its team on a  Contract / Establishment basis.The CWA is an equal opportunity employer and qualified disabled persons are encouraged to apply.

Communication
Director 
( On Contract
basis)
A-  A Degree in Communication or Journalism and/or Media Studies or any related field from a recognised institution with a minimum of ten years’ post qualification experience in the field of Communications/Public Relations-                             
                                    OR
A  Master Degree in Communication or Journalism and/or Media Studies or any related field from a recognised institution with a minimum of five years’ post qualification experience in the field of Communications/Public Relations.
                                    OR
B - An alternative qualification acceptable to the Central Water Board.
 
C – Candidates should :-
(a)   have strong written and verbal skills both in
        English  and French;
(b)  demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including
       the ability to influence across the organization and
       externally;
(c ) have wide knowledge of a broad range of
      communication activities including media strategies
      and relations, web development, social media
      platform,  editing and publication, events etc..
(d)    have strong organisational skills;
(e)    be  able to make use of relevant  IT techniques  in
        the  performance of his/her  duties.

Manager
(Risk & Audit)-

 A    Membership of any of the following bodies:-
a)      The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales;
b)      The Institute of Chartered accountants of Scotland;
c)      The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland;
d)     The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants;
e)      The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants;    
                              OR
An alternative qualification acceptable to the Central Water Board; and
 
B  Should reckon at least five (5) years post qualification experience in auditing and risk management at a senior management level.
 
Candidates should :-
(a)   Be registered with the Mauritius Institute of
        Professional Accountants (MIPA) in accordance
        with Section 51 of the Financial Reporting Act;
(b)   Have proven management ability;
(c )  P ossess good analytical, numerical and
       communication skills with excellent attention to
       detail; 
(d)   Be computer literate;
(e)   Have a high sense of personal credibility and
        integrity;
(f)    Have excellent interpersonal skills and sound
        judgment.

NOTE
 
Candidates who possess an equivalent qualification to the prescribed qualification are requested to submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Tertiary Education Commission or Mauritius Qualification Authority as appropriate, failing which the application will not be considered.

MODE OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates are requested to submit their application on the prescribed form available at the Human Resources Department, CWA Head Office, St Paul or forms can be downloaded from the CWA website - Application Form; together with a comprehensive CV and photocopies of all academic and professional certificates plus evidence of work experience claimed and  a copy of their National Identity Card. 
 
CLOSING  DATE
 
Applications duly filled in, should reach the Registry, Central Water Authority, Head Office, Royal Road, St Paul not later than 3.45 pm on Tuesday  30  September 2014.
 
Note:
(i)
Candidates, if not in the public service, should not have reached their 40th birthday.
(ii)
Age limit does not apply for appointment on Contract Basis.
(iii)
Only the best candidates will be called for the selection exercise.
(iii)
Late applications and applications not made on the prescribed form will not  be  considered                                   
(iv)
 Incomplete, inadequate or inaccurate filling of the application form and non-submission  of photocopies of certificates may entail elimination of the applicant.
(v)
The CWA reserves the right not to make any appointment following this advertisement.
